EXPOBAR BREWTUS ESPRESSO MACHINE – DOUBLE BOILER VIBRATION PUMP

The Brewtus espresso machine, is perhaps one of the most popular models in present day.
It is a double boiler, meaning it has an individual boiler for steaming and brewing.

INTRODUCTION

STABILITY TEST

Extraction

The Expobar’s E61 groupheads are designed with a patent design, a modification in its shower screen to allow approximately 7 seconds of preinfusion every time. This results in slightly more uniform shots.

The thermosyphon system will cycle hot water to the grouphead just like any E61 system.

Double Pressure Gauge

Features an important brew gauge  useful for identifying any anomalies during brewing. It is not important to have a steam boiler gauge when there’s PID, but Expobar adds it anyway.

Thermal stabilitiy

The Expobar Brewtus espresso machine features a PID temperature controller.
As at different temperature, coffee forms different profiles of aroma.
The PID allows the user to take control and customise the intensity of the bitterness and levels of the sourness, as well what types of aroma blossoms out.
Temperature is also kept at a very stable temperature range without much fluctuation. This might be good for users who value consistency.

Since it has two boilers, it has a much larger capacity and users can repeat many shots before worrying about temperature fluctuation from displaced hot water.

Preheated water feature:
All water to the brew boiler are pre-heated by the steam boiler before entering. This ensures that water entering the brew boiler is hot which replaces hot water exiting the group, reducing temperature swings in the brew boiler.

Rotary pump

Strong industrial grade pump to allow heavy duty of usage, back to back. Moving stream of water smoothly with weak tremors that disrupt channelling.

Usability

New users may enjoy using the Brewtus.

It is attached to a single tip steam wand, to allow more time for frothing, very handy for amateurs.
Since it is running on a heat exchanger system, users can froth milk and brew coffee at the same time.

Copper boiler.

A safe material with natural anti-microbial properties to continuously kill greater than 99.9% of bacteria that cause hospital-acquired infections, keeping water in the boiler always potable. One of the most conductive metal on earth, making the machine very efficient in starting up and recovering from lost heat. Will never rust like Stainless Steel, or release lead from Brass, will only oxidise and increase its antimicrobial properties as its age.

Commercial features

For users who wish for more additional features, they will be pleased with what Expobar Brewtus can offer.

The drip tray is huge, which is always useful to collect more drips before emptying.
Not only that, user can drill a hole through the drip tray and connect to a drainage system to collect endless amount of drips.

The Expobar Brewtus allows user to draw water either from a water network directly, or through its water tank.
If it’s connected to a water network*, the user won’t need to top up the water tank anymore.

This will mean that the Expobar Brewtus is capable for continuous operation without worrying that the water tank runs dry, or overflowing its drip tray.

*Due to potentially different fitting, compatibility and pressure stability issues, we do not provide plumbing services. It should be carried out by a qualified plumber. Please refer to the user manual to change the machine’s mode to switch drawing water from either tank or water network.

Vibration or Rotary pump?

The Rotary pump is able to last longer than a Vibration pump under correct use.
It has no water tank but it is also able to draw water from a big external water tank or plumbed in.

If it’s plumbed in, water must be soft and below 4 bars. Unstable inlet pressure will lead to unstable brew pressure.

Notice:

Due to the engineering design of a double boiler with a vibration pump.

There’s a higher chance of pressurised air locked in the boiler, obstructing water from flowing through in a new machine.

We will recommend requesting for installation for the Brewtus double boiler with the vibration pump.

Alternatively, you can use the following instructions.

Air lock
